Why do my Google results keep redirecting me to spam sites?

Every time I type in a search term and click on a result (on both IE9 and Chrome) it redirects me to a spam site. I've run scans with Symantec Endpoint, and it has repeatedly detected and deleted an item, but it doesn't fix the issue. Scanning it again keeps finding and deleting the same file, as if it keeps reappearing. What is going on here? Help!
